INVITATIONS FOR LEASE ON BEHALF OF MANX NATIONAL HERITAGE
An opportunity has arisen to lease Manx National Heritage’s the Sound Café and Cregneash Café (Creg y Shee), both situated at the southern tip of the Isle of Man.
The Sound Café is set in a stunning location and offers panoramic uninterrupted views of the Calf of Man and Sound and provides 100 inside and 48 outside covers.
Creg y Shee Café is situated in the heart of Cregneash village and offers indoor and outdoor seating for visitors with an outlook towards Harry Kelly’s cottage. 35 inside and 20 outside covers.
The Sound Café is an all year round operation whilst the Cregneash Café is run on a seasonal basis.
Our client is seeking formal proposals for operation of both cafes together by a third party with the requirements that proposals should:
• Maximise general public access
• Generate an economic rent
• Recognise the special environment in which the two cafes are located
• Experienced caterers with a successful track record in the provision of quality café operations and services
• Quality catering offer
• Sound hygiene and maintenance practices
• The proposed terms must be sustainable for the period of the lease
Invitations to lease the buildings, for an initial period of 5 years with a possible 5 year extension, subject to contract, are invited to be submitted with a closing date of 12 noon, Wednesday 2nd February 2022.
