RANGE FACILITIES

This private range was purpose built in the early 90s and has matured to offer natural screening with mature trees on the banks which offer effective sound attenuation and safety when shooting. The set up offers a variety of sporting disciplines from 25 trap houses around the edges of the banks with 5 fixed stands, 3 covered shooting stands, all accessed via paths and a separate English Skeet shooting area. There are in addition, two purpose built storage buildings for equipment, materials and range machinery. The range is open 7 days a week for lessons, practice and skill development at all levels and varies from 9am onwards, and during the summer months into the evening. The range is operated on a booking system for private appointments and is accessible for club members, visitors and also for charities, groups and corporate events. Country Gun Club is a limited company and has over 50 members. Outside catering opportunities are also available and have been utilised in the summer months. In house instruction is offered from a number of resident coaches and visiting instructors from UK.
